Sample trip ideas
Starting points, not packages — every trip I plan is built around your goals, dates, and budget. Browse by region, find the one that pulls at you, and we’ll shape it into your trip. Cruises are my specialty, so you’ll spot plenty of ideas that start on the water.

Europe
Where my heart is — and where my favorite international sailings go. A few of the journeys I love building most:
Greek isles by sea
Island-hop by ferry or small ship — white villages, swims in clear water, and long lunches by the harbor.
Spain, slowly
Seville, Granada, and Córdoba — flamenco, tapas, and golden evenings, without rushing.
Italy by rail
Rome, Florence, and Venice linked by train — art, food, and history at a pace that lets each city land.
Iceland: waterfalls & northern lights
The Golden Circle and the south coast by day; aurora hunting by night, in season.
Africa
Big landscapes, bigger wildlife — planned with experienced local partners:
Climb Kilimanjaro
Hike to the roof of Africa with a proper support crew, a sensible pace, and time to acclimatize.
Safari & Zanzibar
Days tracking wildlife in the Serengeti, then slow beach days and swims on Zanzibar.
Cape Town & safari
South Africa’s coast and city first, then out to meet the Big Five.
Morocco: medinas to the Sahara
Wander the old medinas, cross the Atlas Mountains, and sleep under desert stars.
Asia
Ancient temples, neon cities, and islands — endlessly varied:
Japan classics
Tokyo, Kyoto, and a view of Mt. Fuji — temples, gardens, and bullet trains between.
Thailand: temples & islands
Bangkok’s temples and markets first, then island time in the south.
Vietnam, north to south
Hanoi, an overnight cruise in Ha Long Bay, lantern-lit Hoi An, and Ho Chi Minh City.
Bali, unhurried
Rice terraces, temples, and beach clubs — with days left open on purpose.
Australia & the Pacific
Distance is the only catch — the trips themselves are pure reward:
Sydney & the Great Barrier Reef
The harbor city, then north to snorkel the reef.
New Zealand road trip
Queenstown, fjords, and mountain roads made for stopping often.
Fiji, island time
A few islands, no schedule worth keeping, and water in every direction.
Uluru & the outback
Desert skies, ancient rock art, and sunrises worth the early alarm.
Antarctica
The true bucket-list finale — expedition-style, aboard a small ship:
Expedition cruise: penguins & glaciers
Sail from Ushuaia, then explore by Zodiac among penguin colonies and calving glaciers.
South Georgia & the Falklands
King penguins by the hundreds of thousands, plus Shackleton’s story in person.
Fly the Drake
Short on time or not a sailor? Fly over the Drake Passage and join the ship in Antarctica.
South America
Rainforests, ruins, and the wild south — and yes, the Galápagos Islands are here (they belong to Ecuador):
Galápagos by small ship
Snorkel with sea lions, walk among giant tortoises, and visit a different island each day.
Machu Picchu & the Sacred Valley
Cusco, the valley’s markets and ruins, and sunrise at the citadel.
Patagonia, both sides
Torres del Paine in Chile and El Calafate in Argentina — glaciers, granite, and wind.
Amazon rainforest lodges
Jungle walks, river wildlife, and nights full of frog song, based at an eco-lodge.
North America
For my neighbors here — and for international travelers coming to explore this side of the world:
Alaska: cruise & rail
Glaciers and gold-rush towns by ship, then Denali by domed train.
National parks road trip
The Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce, and more — one great loop, paced properly.
Canadian Rockies
Banff and Lake Louise — turquoise lakes, mountain passes, and the Icefields Parkway.
Hawaii, island by island
Oahu, Maui, Kauai, or the Big Island — pick your pace, or hop between two.
